Sketchbook Assignment: Old Toys

Categories: Sketchbooks No Comments

This upcoming Wednesday you have another sketchbook due!  The assignment is to draw two old toys.  Below I have included a few examples – pay close attention to how the drawings are shaded.  You want to give your drawing a full range of values, much like the value scales we did last week.  Also, please remember to get yourself a nice 2B pencil (or softer!) to do these sketches with.  They’re pretty common pencils, and I cannot over emphasize how much easier they will make your assignment.  Using the wrong pencil when drawing is like trying to run a race in flip-flops – your not going to do well no matter how good you are!

Note that some of these examples only have one object in them: You need to have two toys in your drawing.
