Your sketchbook assignment for this weekend is to draw your house (or a shed, garage, etc. – Some kind of building) in 2-point perspective. You can take a photo of your building and draw it from that image, but make sure you print it out and look at the photograph in a larger size than your cellphone screen can give you.
Remember – you need to move to the corner of the building, so that both walls are going away from you.
Below are some examples of good 2-point perspective sketches. Make sure you are shading your drawing – Paying close attention to shadows and highlights, as well as all the other details that are in, on, and around your house.
Also, here is a video on how to draw 2-point perspective, in case you are a bit confused. But do not draw your sketch like this – this example is a purely mechanical explanation of drawing in 2-point perspective. It is a drawing from my imaginations, not a drawing from real-life. If you simply copy this video, you will not get credit for the sketch!
