Design an Animation Character – Part #1. Using the entire page, draw an imaginary character that you might use for a animation or a movie. For this sketch, draw the character from the front, back. and side, full-page, and use values. Make sure you include details, such as costume, weapons, props, etc., that would define this character’s “job,” or function in the animation. The Character must also have facial features visible!
See below for examples. Turn your paper sideways and divide it into three even sections. Make your characters fill the page. Show details – these are not stick figures!
We will be using this design for an animation in the upcoming weeks, so make sure that it is moderately easy to draw, and something fun that you would want to work with.
And one last thing – This must be YOUR design – not a copy of another character. That is plagiarism, and if you copy another cartoon character, you will not get credit for this sketch/design.
