Hey everyone,
I’m sure you all know by now that schools in Monroe County have closed. I have setup classes in Microsoft’s “Teams” app for you all. You will need to go to the office 365 login page and use your Penfield student email address and your password to log in to Office 365. From there you can either open the browser version of Teams or download the app for your computer. You can also download the app on your cellphone.
I completely anticipate that these closing will last for quite some time, and that we are going to have to figure out how to make this class work online. I think that is VERY possible, but it will take some flexibility from everyone as we all figure out how this can work.
As far as assignments and changes to them, I am going to refrain from making too many decisions right now – it is basically just too early. Once I hear more from the district on this, and get some better direction as far as how long this might last and how they want us to handle this as teachers, I’ll get back to you.
So, for now, I need you all to continue with your homework: Assume that I am going to figure out a way for you to complete your sketchbook assignment and hand it in this Wednesday. As far as your animation is concerned, well, that I need to figure out. The likelihood is that we will be suspending that assignment and moving on over to Video Game Design, which is a project that you can do easily enough at home because it uses all free software.
I’ll be in touch soon. But for now, get into Microsoft Teams and make sure you can see your class.
